In my search of what kind of job I could do, I have considered teaching French to beginners. I have already helped some Chinese friends practice French as their language partners, but teaching the language itself is another ballgame.

I asked one of my friends, who is a teacher in a secondary school, how he went on to take up that profession, and his impressions about the job. I will admit to having even more doubts about my ability to do so now. I plan to go to Alliance Francaise at Bell Village later this week to ask about the possibility of taking the CAPES/CRPE/Agregation exams. I will have to start learning the tenses again. Have forgotten all about them. Hehe.

Otherwise, there is a Chinese girl here in Mauritius who is looking to learn some French before she returns to Tianjin. I can start practising on her, see how things go. That should give me an idea of the difficulties lying ahead.
