Flights from HK to SH, and SH to BJ
I took a DragonAir plane for the part of the flight from HK to CHina. DragonAir is a HK based company, and it’s more expensive that the Chinese counterparts. Well, the dim sum that I had for late lunch was ok, although 4 pieces are unlikely to satisfy my hunger. The cabin attendants (as the air stewardess like to be called nowadays) were so so physically. A bit of a disappointment really. The stewaresses of DragonAir are supposed to be the better looking ones compared with Chinese airlines’.
Today I took a Chinese Eastern Airlines flight to Beijing, as I thought my friends had already arrived there and were waiting for me to act as their guide. I took the Maglev to Pudong Airport for the first time in my life. It was not as smooth as one would have thought.
The CEA flight was delayed for some unclear reasons and we left with more than half an hour’s delay. And as the aircon seemed to be giving off hot air instead, it was a hard time to sit in one’s place. When we finally got off moving, things were much better. As CEA was handing out an evaluation questionnaire for the service of Chinese airlines, I was more than happy to write down my views.
I got chatting with a stewardess (the least one to be called 美女, so forget the sexual comments) and found out that CEA got a 5 star rating for its services from an American evaluation company some years ago. The lady obviously claimed that they were no.1 in China in that respect. I didn’t tell her that the exercise should be repeated again to be more noteworthy. But I do agree that the cabin attendant’s attitudes were much better than the ones I noted on Air China.
Is Air China sleeping on its laurels of havng the biggest airline fleet in China and most well known by people? The service I received on the CEA flight plus the fact that the cabin attendants were much better looking than those of DragonAir and Air China means next time I will book a CEA flight again ![]()
