Bons Baisers de Jules Verne
Tonight I went to a concert, hosted by Alliance Francaise de Pekin, at the Conservatoire Central de Pekin (中央音乐学院). The show, which lasted less than an hour and a half, was a series of songs sung by Jean-Claude Meurisse. Why Jules Verne? Well, Jules Verne died in 1905, and to celebrate the centenary of his death, the 3 guys behind this concert are on a world tour giving concerts and shows, etc… They are in BJ, will be travelling to SH, Dalian, Xi’an, Wuhan, Chengdu and Guangdong till the end of the month.
What about the songs? Well, they were nice, and it was even nicer to be hearing live French songs :D One song was called Bons Baisers de Jules Verne, and the whole series of songs (16 in all) revolved around the love theme. I wouldn’t say it rocked my world though.
