FOMHK

(The pictures are not great since taken from my mobile phone)
Strange title, right? Well, FOMHK stands for Friends of Mauritius in Hong Kong. It is an organisation created by Mauritians in Hong Kong to offer an opportunity for Mauritians, their families and friends to meet and participate in social activities together, and to foster friendship among members and enhance their lifestyle as expatriates.
Why am I talking about it? Well, I enjoyed the Independence Day dinner party held by them last Sunday. It was an occasion to see and get to know some of the Mauritian people there. It was a nice party, with good food, warm atmosphere, nice mix of Mauritians and foreigners, plus some Mauritians’ children danced the sega in traditional sega clothes.
However, as I only got back to BJ on Tuesday, it means that I still have to attend the corresponding dinner/cocktail held in BJ by the Mauritian Embassador. Oh well. Maybe I will have more luck in the future.
I’d like to thank NL and his family for their hospitality and all the assistance I received from them, and wish them all the best for the future.
