Installation update
Well, so far I am still trying to get my WinXP installed properly. It’s been over a day, but for some reason I can’t get the SP2 upgrading pack to be installed. It keeps stopping after downloading some 0.2-0.5Mb and the file is 83.3Mb. So tired of waiting to say ‘download failed’ then restart it. :$
I spent a long time trying fruitlessly to install my WinXP directly, but kept having some error messages each time. Then I tried to install my Ubuntu on it, but again I got some problems on installation. Finally, after being able to remove all partitioning and reformating, the WinXP SP1 has been reinstalled, but I need it to get to SP2 before being able to install many things. So, I’m stuck with a basic laptop for the moment.

Well, I don’t want to pay Microsoft even more to get the updated CD. If they were to send it to me for me, I wouldn’t mind. :D
The good thing is my laptop is now on SP2. I finished the upgrading last night. And reinstalled most programs. But I lost many files, and I can’t find my Warcraft CDs. And I need to download Dreamweaver. Another biggie. Damn.

Better to get hold of a SP2 cd rather than trying to dload from M’s site. It never dload completely as you might have experienced..
