Coffee making
Just wondering ….
Can you grind coffee grains and then just add hot water, milk and/or sugar to drink? Or should you use a coffee machine? Any coffee machine would do?

Grinding coffee needs good red coffee from South Africa, not the common nuts sold at the local supermarkets.
Once, you get the fine powder, you pour very hot water over. Let the whole thing simmer. Then (5 min. or so.) pour the water through a filter.
It is only then that you should add MILD (it should be mild!) liquid milk.
It takes skill to make a good coffee. You need to practice.
Unfortunately, most of us do not have time to grind coffee. Instant is cheap and readily available.
I, for one, prefer to not use the coffee machine - it needs to be cleaned daily and I do not trust what is going on inside - there could be insects trapped inside. Eww..
Have fun making coffee. Show us some snaps of you making it. It will be fun.

I use instant coffee. It’s easier to use. 1 tablespoon of coffee, 1 cup of hot water, 2 tablespoons of milk powder and the coffee’s done! ![]()

I had Oliver buy coffee beans for me when he was in Thailand. Haven’t had time to meet him so far to collect the package.

I do not use the coffee machine because they prefer instant coffee with sugar. Ground coffee is too strong for my stomach. :)
